The 2017 “Eat A Dish For Make A Wish” campaign theme is “Brunch With a Purpose” and I received an invite to brunch at Maggiano’s in Atlanta with a special Wish recipient, Ellie and her family. Ellie and Chef Thomas put on quite a show as they prepared Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and shared the recipe for all of us to try at home.

She has to constantly have her arms and legs wrapped in special protective bandages and she is not able to do normal outdoor activities like other children because of the risk of her skin breaking and getting infected.

Ellie loves cooking and her wish was to be a judge on Master Chef Junior. She wanted to try the cuisine and give them her honest opinion.  The Georgia Chapter of the Make A Wish  Foundation granted Ellie’s wish and she visited the Master Chef studio and received a full tour with her family, her story was featured on 11 Alive News.
