Valentine’s Day Couples Escape
Romance is in the air with Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching.
For many women, myself included, we are expecting chocolates, flowers and to be swept off our feet.
But you don’t need Valentine’s Day to express your love for your significant other. Why not take the pressure off your spouse this year and plan a surprise couples escape?
If you are up for the challenge I have the perfect solution for you.
This won’t be any regular couples escape. It will be an opportunity for you to recharge as a couple and to make plans for what you hope to accomplish in 2018.
If you are ready to take charge this year, let’s dive right into planning The Ultimate Couples Escape.
Make Plans For The Kids
You will have a much more relaxed atmosphere without having to think about taking care of your children. Make arrangements to have your children stay with family for the weekend or however long you might be away. With your new-found freedom, you will be able to focus on your relationship as a couple without any distractions.
So, your kids don’t feel left out, you can take them to their favorite restaurant before you leave. You can also gather together as a family to select one of these fun five goal setting activities for children by Big Life Journal. These activities are sure to teach your children about goal-setting and give you ideas for things you can do together as a family during the year.
Choose A Venue
Choosing an ideal venue is key. You want a venue that has a peaceful romantic feel. A place that allows you to relax your mind, body and soul. If the budget allows, you can visit a new country or city. It is also fine to choose somewhere local. Once you have narrowed down your list of 5 potential locations, explore their special packages.
Most hotels have date night packages where they include extra amenities with the room. Valentines Day packages may also be available. Extra amenities could include: wine and chocolates upon check-in along with a dinner for two meal option, for one night during your stay. Packages will vary by hotels. Choose a venue that fits your vibe and budget and make a commitment.
Now that the venue is all booked, you will want to include add-on that supports your mission of recharging and bonding as a couple. Make dinner reservations for two. This could be a candlelight dinner under the stars or a restaurant where your meal is prepared right in front of you. The key here is to do something outside the norm. Choose one or two activities that you can do together as a couple. You could try a couple’s massage or visit a local attraction. The ball is in your court, choose activities you will both love and enjoy and remember for years to come.
Write A Love Letter
With all the planning completed, its time to get creative. Letters are a rare commodity. People hardly write letters these days, thanks to advances in technology that have make communication quick and easy. Which is the reason why, of any of the steps I have provided, you shouldn’t brush over this one. I am sure your spouse heart will skip a beat and he will be touched that you actually wrote him a letter.
Not sure what to include? Start by letting him know that you have been thinking about him and how much you love him. Share some of the things you love about him and the impact it has had on you. Incorporate a few memories you have shared together. Let him know of the plans you have made and what to expect. Re-affirm that you love him and you look forward towards many more years together. That’s it! Feel free to get as fancy or creative as you would like with the letter. Once you have poured out your heart to him, you can mail it to his office, or put it in a spot in your home where he will come across it. Should you desire, feel free to caption the envelope from: Your Secret Admirer or Your Secret Cupid, its sure to spark a smile.
Now for the fun part, goal setting. Ensure you download, “Your Guide To Intentional Goal Setting For Couples. You will also need a notebook and a pen to record your discussions. You will want to have discussions about vacations for the year, your finances, and marriage and spiritual goals. Ensure you download your free workbook to guide you through your discussions and goal setting. Once you have returned from your couple’s escape create a vision board to remind you both of your goals for the year.
So, there you have it, my husband approved Couples Escape.
What are some of your relationship goals for this year?
